Happy New Year from Turtle Lake

Happy 2011!

After almost  a month, we were very excited to see the progress made in December.

When we pulled in the driveway, we were very happily  surprised to see Jeff Stratton up on the roof installing the solar panels.  You can see him waving in the picture...Hi Jeff!  All told, he had half (9) of the panels installed before the next snow storm started to roll in.  The panels there were installed were actually generating power on a very overcast and snowy day.  Can't wait to see what the full sun will generate.

The glass panels were installed on the deck...the look is incredible.  Jack gets the credit on this one.  He worked with Joel, our builder, to get just the right type of panels.

The sun porch is now enclosed with windows.  It truly feels like a 3 season room, a part of our house rather than just a screened in porch.  Kudos to Joel Harner on that idea!

On the inside, the trim detail work was started, along with the grouting and polishing of the tile in the Master Bath.  We are VERY pleased with the result.  There are heating elements under each of the bathroom floors to keep everyone toasty while using the bathroom...kinda of decadent, I know!

With the exception of the completion of the solar panels, the outside is completed. The rest is all the detail work inside.

It will be a couple of weeks before we head up again.  Did I mention there was 8 inches of snow today and more on the way.  We are in the middle of a micro eco-system and known as the "snow belt"  Who picked out this property anyway?   JACK!

Anyway, enjoy the pictures...till next time....
